Pictures from March

Jay and Evie are out enjoying a stroll around the neighborhood and I'm taking good advantage of the quiet house to update our blog with some pictures from March.

We were blessed with a wonderful hand-me-down exersaucer from my friend and co-worker, Ann. Evie LOVES it as you'll see from all the pictures we have of her in it this month. This was her first time in it and you can see on her face that she's taking it all in.


Daddy likes to take pictures of Evie while she's on the changing table with things (usually clothes but not always) on her head.


She's getting so long!

Evie got these "rattle socks" from Cousin Kristen and she thinks they're great fun. They have little stuffed animal rattles at her toes for her to pull on.

Evie has gotten really good lately at getting her legs out of her jammies.


These next two pictures were taken the day she turned five months old.

Rolling Rolling Rolling

Evie first rolled over on February 21 but only does so on rare occasions. She rolled for Jay for the first time on March 12 and we actually caught it on video! Here she is in her blog video debut.

Happy Birthday Lane!

It's our nephew's fourth birthday! I say it all the time but I really can't believe how time flies.

We love you, Lane, and wish we were there to celebrate with you. Have a happy happy day! (And don't worry - your present is in the mail.)

Thank you, Evie.

Dear Evie,

Thank you so much, sweet girl, for sleeping through the night last night. You fell asleep at 8:45 p.m. and didn't wake up until 5:45 a.m. (And I think the only reason you woke up then was that stuffy little nose.) I hope you enjoyed your good night of sleep as much as I did.

I love you more than you'll ever know! You are Mommy and Daddy's little Pookie!

The Incredible Growing Baby

I took Evie to the pediatrician this morning because she’s developed a lovely runny eye and nose combination over the last couple of days. No need to be alarmed – it’s just a little head cold. She wasn’t running a fever, her ears look good, and she’s still her happy little self.

Today she weighed 15 pounds 4 ounces – up 8 ounces (half a pound) since Friday! I asked Jay what he thought that could be from and he replied, “Sugar or snot.” It’s true; we have the sweetest snottiest baby.

Four Months Old

I'm not sure if anyone checks this blog anymore. :-) But in case there are still interested readers Evie turned four months old on Friday. We saw her doctor on the same day. Our baby girl is growing - she's now 14 pounds 12 ounces (75th percentile) and 24 inches long (50th percentile). These are the same percentiles from her two month check up.

She also tried her jumper toy for the first time Friday night and loved it!
